I usually jot out a character description—or let’s call it a worded sketch—so I have a clear picture of who I’m writing. It helps with visualization during my drafting process. Normally, I’d pull up Playground or Midjourney to whip up a visual, but those tools are incredibly time-consuming, and with this writing schedule, I just don’t have a second to spare.
However, I can drop the next best thing: the words I use to capture the character’s vibe. And of course, I added a little flair so it reads more like a snapshot and less like a census file.
